On your iPhone. Premises has no server and no account system, so there is nowhere else for it to go. Deleting the app deletes everything permanently — nobody can recover it for you, including us.
That a file hasn't changed since the app recorded it. Each one gets a SHA-256 hash at the moment of capture, and every report re-checks them. It doesn't prove what a photograph shows or who took it — only that it's the same file.
No. Premises organizes records you create and links to publicly available official sources — court self-help pages, court forms, bar association referral services. It doesn't interpret them, doesn't tell you which apply to your situation, and isn't a substitute for an attorney.
The documentation side works anywhere — capture, fingerprinting, timelines, and reports don't depend on location. The official source links are California-specific for now. Other states are coming.
Yes. Photographs are simply recorded without coordinates. The same is true of every permission the app asks for — it keeps working with all of them off, with less in the record.
